Community News - Intellectual Ventures and their approach to commercialising metamaterials

Posted on March 26, 2015

Intellectual Ventures are now well-known for their involvement in commericalisation of metamaterials-based technology. They now have three spin-out companies that are using metamaterials in specific applications and industrial markets: Kymeta (antennas for satellite applications), Evolv Technology (airport security scanning and imaging technology) and Echodyne, who have patented a "Metamaterial Electronically Scanning Array (MESA)" for radar applications (such as automotive and UAVs), that does away with the need for phase shifters, thus reducing weight and cost.

Becca such gorgeous pics, you have tolalty captured the magic of the wedding. You were such a trooper on the day, scurrying around, it was a pleasure to meet you. I've already made my mother-in-law sit down and look at these and she's blown away. Stunning. xxx
