Dr Flynn Castles graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge in 2005, with a BA in Natural Sciences. He completed an MSci in Theoretical and Experimental Physics from Cambridge in 2006. Dr Castles completed his PhD from Cambridge in 2010 and worked as a post-doctoral researcher until September 2013, in the Centre of Molecular Materials for Photonics and Electronics, Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. His research broadly concerns self-assembled materials and their use in devices.
Dr Castles joined the QUEST team at Oxford in September 2013 and researches in a number of areas, including the application of 3D printing techniques to electromagnetic devices designed using spatial transformations.
