Posted on January 25, 2014

The need to plug in devices to recharge the battery has some disadvantages, whether we are talking about smartphones and tablets, or electric vehicles. Wireless power transfer has attracted attention as a means of overcoming these disadvantages. The range of operation for these systems is limited, however, by the trade-off of efficiency in transfer. Despite this, commercial systems are already available for some applications.
