Community News - Metamaterials affect superconductivity

Building on their earlier work, researchers from the University of Maryland have recently reported that the critical temperature of a superconductor has been increased (albeit by a small amount) by applying metamaterial concepts. The paper, "Experimental demonstration of superconducting critical temperature increase in electromagnetic metamaterials", is currently available on ArXiv.org.
