Figure 8(b) from the paper "Frequency dependence and passive drains in fish-eye lenses", by O. Quevedo-Teruel, R. C. Mitchell-Thomas, and Y. Hao, has been selected for inclusion in the "Kaleidoscope" feature of the website for the journal Physical Review A.
Figures are selected on aesthetic merit. Recently published images will appear on the main web page for approximately one month, after which they will remain available in an archive.
Figure 8(b) shows the electric field distribution from a simulation of the Maxwell Fish-Eye lens demonstrating sub-wavelength resolution, at a position between the wire and the source (see the paper for more information).
